cial COVID-19 UPDATE***
Due to rising levels in the COVID-19 Delta variant, the media specialist at St. Helena Elementary will continue to follow CDC guidelines for safe handling of print materials to avoid the spread of COVID-19. Books that have been handled by students will be quarantined for 72 hours, then disinfected to the extent possible before returning to circulation. These procedures may cause delays in fulfilling requests for titles, especially popular books. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Circulation Policy
Kindergarten students may check out 1 book at a time. 1st through 5th grade students may have two books on their account.
Materials checkout for a period of one week.
Students are encouraged to return items as soon as they are finished.  If students need more time to finish a book, they can bring it to the media center to renew it for an additional week.

Overdue Books
There are no fines for overdue materials, however, students must return overdue items before new items may be checked out.

Lost or Damaged Books
Students who lose or damage books will be charged the replacement cost of the book. Students are responsible for all items on their account and should not lend materials to others.
