“Voices of St. Helena” Project

The University of South Carolina Beaufort is collaborating with St. Helena Elementary School on an oral history initiative that aims to document the experiences of sixteen former students. These oral histories will be transformed into a podcast series, exploring the development of schools on St. Helena Island from their inception to the current day.
